Screenprint Experiments/Manipulations

colbeck and mike take prestige to screenprint and get reet messy....

friday saw the development for one aspect of Prestige's tangent, with the idea in mind that all are equal, we set out to prove with point by making instructional posters (for our furniture) but manipulating aspects to create a new instruction. For example, if we are to remove the 3 inch screw image from all areas of the poster, you will not be able to follow the process correctly, thus the final outcome will not function properly, therefore this proves our interpretation of all are equal...if we apply this process to society, and were to name a component as a person, for example a african american, and removed him from society; the furniture piece, then the same would occur, society would not function properly as one aspect of it has been disturbed. this is a natural balance, that is delicate. this theory runs thoughout all of our work, and our aim is to prove jesse jackson correct. the above experiments work very well, we removed ALL aspects from the manual, therefore the viewer cannot make the item in question...this has lead us onto value the instruction manual as a component (we shall explore that tangent in upcoming sessions).
